Levels of Discovery Nursery Rhyme Bookcase Review

This is a very adorable bookcase with a lot of intricate designs. The top where the clock is located has an area in which small toys can be stored. I was happy to see that there was no assembly required. Now the issues that I have with this is that it isn't real wood, which it does state in the description. But when it was delivered to me, the day was full of thunderstorms. Although the product itself had been covered, the box was drenched and some of that water came into contact with the bookcase. I wiped it off quickly but just a few seconds of exposure left bubbles in the material. Another issue I have are the dimensions of the casing. The compartments are big enough for the normal sized book, but the beige portion (hard to explain) that is above each shelf comes down about an inch or two so it prevents the book from sliding in and out nicely. I have to put the book in a diagonal in order to put it in and take it out. When my son gets older, he most likely will be bending the hard book covers when he is putting them in. Hopefully this helps.
