A recessed cabinet was not a viable option for us due to the placement of the of the studs and the electrical box where the medicine cabinet was going to be placed. It was possible to frame out the spot where a recessed medicine cabinet would fit and the electrical box could have been moved, however it would have been a lot more work and taken more time which I did not have.
