We needed new dining room chairs, but with 3 kids we needed something comfortable AND sturdy. These are very solid and well built. You will need to screw on the seat pads (only took a few minutes), but they chairs themselves come as one assembled piece (this is not a make your own chair project). They were super comfy as well, and we love them. They are fairly heavy.
My only hesitation for these chairs is the vinyl does scratch easily. I know it is vinyl, so no real surprise, but they got pretty torn up the first day just from our pets, so just a buyer beware for people with cats and dogs.
