I looked at a lot of tables on various sites as well as Amazon before ordering this one. What convinced me was a pic I found showing the underside of the table--that the four corners were composed of thick wood through which the table legs' bolts fit and were screwed on. IME, this design makes for a good sturdy table. I got the table today, and it was very quick to put together--literally about five minutes, although the tool they give you to tighten the bolts might be better replaced with your own socket wrench (angles are a little tight). The table is heavy and the wood is good and thick without a lot of knotholes, like you get with a cheap wood. The little drawer has wooden compartments and is lined with green felt, which is a nice extra. This table is cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else (except for a site that had a lot of complaints about it). So I recommend this table for a nice writing desk or artwork table, which is what I am going to use it for. It doesn't have much storage, but I knew when I ordered this that pretty much no table or desk out there would have enough space to store all my art stuff. It looks nice too.
