The dead space in the center of our pantry used to have stuff stacked there that would have to be moved whenever I needed something from a bottom shelf. Now it's all on my cart that I can easily pull out. Seems to be very sturdy. Only drawback was the directions. The illustrations didn't make sense until we had it nearly assembled. Had to reassemble (ugh!) but still worth it.
