We are so glad we purchased this 2 inch topper. It didn't make the mattress too thick to put sheets on but made it feel like a new mattress. We put this on our old bed to convert it to a guest bed. You would never know the old mattress was worn out. Everyone who has slept on it says they had one of the best night's sleep ever!

Unlike some other reviewers, we didn't notice any bad smell, and my husband and I are generally very sensitive to smells.

The only "con" is that the corners are square and it is about an inch larger than our old mattress, so it kind of rounds out the top when the sheet is put on so the edges are not square and firm. We don't consider this to be a problem though. It is very comfortable and doesn't change the look of the bed at all when made up.
