If you want comfortable sheets, these are what you want. These are my second set (first set was black and had the Canadian goose feathers). My wife didn't like the black do she wanted me to get these ivory color ones, the color is nice. Then a few months later she left an ink pen in while washing and well, you guessed it I will be ordering the third set soon, and thinking about the navy blue. If you have a comfortable mattress and just want something that feels good to sleep on, get these!

FIY: If you do wash an ink pen with these (ivory), and then dry them, you won't get it out.

Alessi Mami Tea Kettle Review

There's no doubt that Alessi make some very beautiful pieces. While lots of people are familiar with the Michael Graves kettle, and even the Rossi one, this Mami kettle seems to have gone under the radar. I think that's a pity; for me, this is easily the pick of the three.

First things first. The photo that you generally see doesn't do it justice; it looks like there's some black blob in the middle of it. In fact the kettle is an elegant, sinuous curve (reminiscent of a French Curve - for those old enough to remember what that was) that's finished in a flawless, polished stainless steel. It's quite difficult to get a sense for how sexy and understated a shape it is until you hold it in your hands.

Secondly, while the handle and the whistle are equally elegant and understated, the high point for me is the whistle. I was quite unprepared for how delightful a sound it makes. It just sits there, nonchalantly, until the time comes for it do its thing, and then it launches into this outrageously loud tonal whistle, which is joined by a second note if you let it go on long enough, and then finally a third note if you haven't got the message yet.

Oh, and it pours beautifully; no drips or dribbles.

I find myself looking for excuses to boil water: who'd have thought that this simple act could be such an experience?

Belleek Irish Nativity Pottery Set Review

It is truly beautiful and it reminds me of my ancestry and faith, I have had no problems with the set so far. The only potential problem I have noted is that the star attached to a small nub on the creche. It took a couple of tries to get the star hung and it seemed fairly easy to knock loose. You can buy the star separately so perhaps breakage has been a problem. I cannot imagine the set without a star. Also, the basic set no longer includes the angel. Many companies will send you a set without the angel insted of updating their image. I wish there was more than one shepherd and a couple of more sheep in the set,. Children seem partiularly fascinated by the animals and as this is an introduction to faith for many, anything that improves it in their eyes is a plus.
